Payment requests keep coming. And too many families fly home to find a plot of weeds, a foundation that never grew, or four rooms paid for and two rooms built.
It is not that you trust no one. It is that you deserve to see the truth before the next payment leaves your account.
Most projects go well, and honest work deserves to be seen too. But Ghana is covered in uncompleted buildings, and behind many of them is someone abroad who worked hard for that money. This service exists so your building is not one of them.

You are letting a stranger onto land you may have spent fifteen years paying for. It is the right question to ask first, and we would think less of anybody who did not ask it.
No one carries out a site check visit unless they hold a current police clearance certificate from the Ghana Police Service, and we hold a copy of it on file before they ever attend a site. This is not something done once and forgotten. The certificate has a limited life, so it is renewed, and anyone whose certificate has lapsed does not go to a site until it has been replaced. There is no exception to this and no job urgent enough to make one.
On top of the certificate, every person we engage is trained on our checklist, signs our code of conduct before their first visit, and carries an Obrempong identity card showing their photograph and their name.
If you would like to see the certificate itself before the visit, simply ask. We will seek that person's permission and send you a copy.
Because we tell you who is coming before they arrive. Ahead of every visit you receive the name of the person attending and the day they are expected. Give that name to whoever is on site, and tell them to expect nobody else.
The inspector carries an identity card with the same name and photograph on it, and will show it without being asked.
If somebody arrives at your plot saying they are from Obrempong and you were not given their name in advance, do not let them in. Message us and we will tell you quickly whether that person is ours. We would far rather answer that message than have anyone use our name to reach your property.
Look, photograph, film, measure and write down. Nothing else, and the limits matter as much as the work.
Your inspector never asks anyone on site for money and never accepts money from anyone, including your builder. He never gives an instruction to your builder or to anyone working for him. He removes nothing from the property. He does not enter a locked room or any part of the building you have not asked us to see. He does not enter anywhere unsafe, and where a photograph cannot be taken safely the report says so rather than pretending otherwise. If the person in charge of the site asks him to leave, he leaves, and you are told plainly what happened and why.
If anyone on site offers our inspector money or a favour, he declines it and we report it to you in writing the same day. We would rather tell you an awkward thing than keep it from you.

Our reports show the building, not the people around it. Inspectors are instructed to frame out faces wherever the work can still be shown, and where a face cannot be avoided it is obscured before the report reaches you. We do not photograph into a neighbouring compound, and we do not photograph anyone's belongings or vehicle to make a point about your site.
His photos show you what he chooses to photograph. Ours record everything the checklist demands, every room, every elevation, including what nobody thought to show you. His photos are loving eyes; ours are trained eyes that notice what untrained eyes walk past: a lintel with poor bearing, sick concrete, wrong timber. And ours are independent, which is what makes them proof rather than reassurance.
No, and this matters to us. Distrust is not the main reason buildings go wrong; the most expensive mistakes are made by honest people that nobody trained ever checked. We do not check anyone's heart. We check the work, at the moment it is still cheap to fix, so the people you trust are protected from carrying mistakes they could not see.
Never. Your report gives you a clear finding on whether what you were told matches what is on the ground, with the evidence to support it. The payment decision always remains yours. That is the whole point of our name: we verify, you decide.
We tell you honestly. If a room was locked or an area was unsafe to enter, the report says unable to verify and explains why, with a photograph of the reason. An honest unable to verify is worth more than a confident guess, and we will never sell you a guess.
No, and that protects you. The moment we start directing the work, we are checking our own instructions and our independence dies. Instead, your report includes plain language questions to discuss with your builder, and if anything needs a qualified professional, an engineer or a surveyor, it says so clearly, naming which kind.
Yes. Alongside the stage check, the inspector records visible quality observations: cracks, damp, poor alignment, badly stored materials, switches and sockets in odd positions, doors set to swing the wrong way. Each one is photographed and turned into a question you can raise while it is still cheap to fix.
Make it about your records, not his work. Tell him: I now use a company that documents every stage for people funding from abroad, the way a bank keeps records, so my money side is organised. Introduce us during peace, not during a dispute, and invite him to walk the site with our inspector. Good builders quickly discover our reports make their good work visible.
